Many athletes have appeared in the entertainment industry to portray their off-court skills. None did it better in the tennis realm than the American tennis legend, Serena Williams. Over the years, she has made guest appearances in TV shows and starred in documentaries. While Serena did it after becoming a big name in tennis, Thea Frodin, a 14-year-old tennis player, has done it differently. Before making her professional tennis debut, she appeared in the critically acclaimed movie, ‘King Richard’. Frodin appeared in the movie as a young Serena Williams. And now, as a college player, she is pursuing her goal of becoming a tennis superstar and making a name for herself in the sport.

During the tournament, Frodin defeated the 18-year-old, Isabella Chhiv from Portola, who won the Pacific Coast single titles back in 2019.
