Gauff is quite the humble figure, as many people around her can attest. Most recently, her consultant coach, Brad Gilbert, talked about how it was when he met her for the first time. He had a shining review for her as he lauded her personality.

Coco Gauff wins over Roger Federer’s former coach

Gauff won her semifinal bout in blazing fashion and set herself up nicely for a big final against Aryna Sabalenka. She fought hard and true and has reached the point where she can fight for her first slam. While her performance has changed, Gauff still maintains a humble mind when she speaks about the real world. 

After her semifinal win, Coco was asked about the pressure she feels to play well. Her reply won hearts as she said that she feels pressure, but she won’t call it real, especially when it comes in comparison to those who struggle to feed their families and themselves. Her attitude around the idea and the question won hearts and especially grabbed the attention of the former coach of the Swiss Maestro.

While her aware mindset was on full display in this situation, Andre Agassi’s ex-coach also gave high praise to her when he met her initially.

Andre Agassi’s former coach praises Gauff

When she was leading in the Citi Open earlier this month, Gauff was all the rave. Especially considering her partnership with Brad Gilbert, Gauff has become the apple of the eye of the media. Many even asked Gilbert about how Gauff is with him, and he had nothing besides praise for his new student. He called her a hard worker and a humble personality.
