After much effort and practice, Coco Gauff is in the second grand slam final of her career. The promising talent was not able to play up to par when the year began. But she has now turned it around and is quickly becoming the favorite of millions around the world. Her improvement has not gone unnoticed, as she is receiving high praise from all around. But despite all the exaltation, Gauff still maintains a humble outlook on life, which was lauded by Roger Federer‘s ex-coach.

Gauff is quite the humble figure, as many people around her can attest. Most recently, her consultant coach, Brad Gilbert, talked about how it was when he met her for the first time. He had a shining review for her as he lauded her personality.

Gauff won her semifinal bout in blazing fashion and set herself up nicely for a big final against Aryna Sabalenka. She fought hard and true and has reached the point where she can fight for her first slam. While her performance has changed, Gauff still maintains a humble mind when she speaks about the real world.

After her semifinal win, Coco was asked about the pressure she feels to play well. Her reply won hearts as she said that she feels pressure, but she won’t call it real, especially when it comes in comparison to those who struggle to feed their families and themselves. Her attitude around the idea and the question won hearts and especially grabbed the attention of the former coach of the Swiss Maestro.

Taken by the American sensation, he wrote, “Perspective, from a teenager, a very special one at that, but boy is @CocoGauff amazing on and off the court, well done Cory & Candy“.

While her aware mindset was on full display in this situation, Andre Agassi’s ex-coach also gave high praise to her when he met her initially.
