The Japanese tennis star will make a comeback at the Brisbane International starting tomorrow. During the pre-tournament interview, Naomi Osaka was asked how she has adjusted to motherhood and her life ever since. However, Osaka had the support of the legendary American athlete, Allyson Felix.

Talking about this, Osaka said, “She had a lot of really good advice. I talked to her a lot before the birth and then after the birth but my memory is so bad that I wouldn’t be able to give you a clue or the advice straight off my head.”

Osaka will be playing her first match in 15 months at Brisbane International. She will take on Tamara Korpatsch of Germany in the first round of the tournament. The Japanese tennis star has been hoping for a positive comeback when she returns to the court in Brisbane. Recently, she spoke about how she dealt with expectations ahead of her comeback.

Osaka makes a candid revelation

During an interview, the former World Number 1 was asked about managing fans’ expectations as she makes a competitive return to tennis. Despite the lengthy absence, Osaka is determined to make a winning return.

She said, “That’s a tough question because I haven’t played in more than a year. I don’t know, I think I’ve given myself the biggest chance to do well. But at the same time, I haven’t had any match play. I think I’m just embracing the fact that it’s my first tournament in a very long time. I’m just trying to have fun and do well at the same time.”
