Both the sisters, Serena and Venus Williams, have their territory in the fashion industry as well. Starting from sharing their own style to launching clothing brands, they have created a separate fan base as style icons. But, from the last month, S by Serena collections have been discontinued. On the other hand, a final sale is going on for the brans by Venus Williams.

Venus and Serena Williams’ clothing brands shut down

The 42-year-old American tennis star inspired women to have comfortable yet elegant fashion with the help of her clothing brand. But now, suddenly, they have closed down the website. While her clothing line has been doing fine since its launch in 2018, even after retirement, she was quite focused on making the line bloom.

However, there is a clear note by team Serena on the website regarding how things have changed now as they shut down their operations. The message reads, “Since 2018, we have thoughtfully designed and produced fashion collections to inspire you to show up as your best self. As of January 31, 2024, S by Serena collections are no longer available for purchase through the S by Serena website.”

It won’t be wrong to say that Venus Williams has also shut down her website operations, just after Serena Williams shut down operations for her clothing line. However, just a few months ago, the 42-year-old American tennis legend created fashion history. Along with that, she also shared her deep connection with fashion.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion created history as she was honored with the Fashion Icon Award at the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards by Amazon Fashion. While her passion for fashion was taken seriously, this award was in front of several previous recipients and style icons, including Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and Beyonce.

After that, according to Vogue, her official statement after a fashionable achievement was about how, since she was a little girl, she has used fashion as an outlet to express herself. Along with that, the Olympic gold medalist highlighted one thing with every question: “…but I’ve always held one thing true—fashion is for everyone, no matter your size, race, or income.”
