Victoria Azarenka was in her prime during the mid-2010s. As the years rolled by, Azarenka became an underdog in tennis. She reached one major final in 2020 and a semifinal in 2023, showing signs of resurgence. As she continues to play in the ASB Classics, Azarenka aims to take the top prize. Her efforts in the tournament have already led her far, even helping her inch closer to a record of Serena Williams and Venus Williams.

After beating Clara Burel in round 2 of Brisbane, Azarenka stayed for the post-match interview. As she held the mic, the former number 1 talked about how becoming a mother has changed her mind completely. She said that she has a mom’s brain and that having a son has made her forget life before she became a mother, something she believes a lot of moms can relate to.

Before she became a mother, Azarenka managed to win two grand slams and several masters and ended the year ranked 1 in 2012. However, most of the moments on tour have slipped from her mind as priorities have changed in her life. Most tennis players might not relate to her, but a lot of mothers around the world might have an idea of what she is talking about.
