In recent months, Venus and Serena Williams’ stepmother, Lakeisha Williams, has been in the news frequently. The American has been facing difficulties following her divorce from Richard Williams. They had been together for eight years before they got divorced.

However, Lakeisha has recently struggled because she had to fight in court to protect the Williams sisters’ old home. And according to the reports, the 43-year-old was found guilty of forging Richard’s signature after a long legal battle over a $1.45 million Florida mansion.

Lakeisha Williams found guilty of allegedly forging Richard Williams’ signatures

According to divorce documents filed by Richard, Lakeisha Williams forged his signature to secure a $250,000 debt from “hard lender,” David Simon, to start a trucking business.

Lately, she’s been having a tough time in legally defending the Williams sisters’ childhood home. Reports say the 43-year-old was found guilty of forging Richard’s signature after a long legal battle over a $1.45 million Florida mansion.

Lender David Simon filed a separate case against her, claiming she spent the remaining funds on a fast food truck. For the past five years, David has been fighting Lakeisha in court to get his money back; and to have her third bankruptcy charge dropped.

Serena Williams owns another property in Florida 

Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian, along with daughter Olympia, spent their quarantine in Florida, at her breathtaking property in the Palm Beach Garden. She and her elder sister Venus Williams owns this property, which is a 7,323-square-foot mansion.

The top of the home is made of clay tiles, and there is a tennis court and a swimming pool in the backyard. The property has reportedly been in Williams’ hands for almost twenty years.
