Serena falls to 1227th while Venus falls to 571st place in the fresh WTA rankings

In the latest announced WTA rankings, the Williams sisters saw a huge dip in their ranking points. As they keep falling in the ranks due to long absence from the tennis tours. Elder sister Venus has now recorded 571st position while Serena slipped to 1227th rank in the women’s tour.

In a recent decision, WTA stripped the Wimbledon of its ranking points. In the wake of banning Russian and Belarusian players from competing in this year’s Wimbledon championship. The decision has resulted in ranking point loss for top performers in the Grass court event. This move might have affected the rankings of both Serena and Venus. Coupled with their long absence from the court.
