Venus Williams and Maria Sharapova have often dazzled the audience with their mesmerizing performances on the court. Now once again, the former Grand Slam champions have caught the attention of the public, albeit off the court, as they recently made a dazzling appearance at the 10th annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony.

Sports, Hollywood, and science collided at this A-Lister event, which took place at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. Even the likes of Williams and Sharapova graced the 10th annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony alongside Brie Larson, Margot Robbie, Robert Downey Jr., Jessica Chastain, Olivia Wilde, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Alicia Keys, and many more.

A Sharapova fan page on Twitter brought to light some glimpses of the 5-time singles Grand Slam champion donning a stunning silver dress as attended the event in Los Angeles. The user tweeted, “Maria Sharapova attends the 10th Annual Breakthrough Prize Ceremony at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on April 13, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.”

Venus, on the other hand, was sighted wearing a gorgeous pink attire as she also shared a hug with the renowned American singer, Alicia Keys, on the red carpet. The official Twitter page of The Hollywood Reporter stated, “Venus Williams and Alicia Keys share a hug on the #BreakthroughPrize red carpet.”

This is not the first time that Williams and Sharapova have made headlines at an A-lister event, as they previously also made appearances at the Met Gala in 2021.

Some of the biggest names gathered at the 2021 Met Gala, which was held at its usual location: the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The likes of  Sharapova and the Williams sisters also graced the popular fashion event, as a picture of the trio posing together also went viral online. While explaining the backstory of their viral picture from the gala, Venus Williams previously opened up about how they were happy to see each other.

In a video clip, the American player was heard saying,  “We were so happy to see each other. There was laughing, there were stories and there was a photo. So the back story is that even though us players compete really hard on the court for years, we still respect and love each other.
