Appearing in her regular “5 o’clock Tuesday’s” was coach Venus, sharing her fitness regime with her followers. It thrilled fans to see the 41-year-old in the shape of a lifetime. Undoubtedly, not just her fitness, but her knowledge of the craft, courtesy of her decorated career in the sport, was on display as well.

In the 36-minute long IGTV video, coach Venus broke down workouts that target different muscle groups. Not just verbally, but she physically performed these exercises, urging viewers to get in on the action with her. Overall covering a glute and abs burnout, the coach’s workout included a glute-bridge section, a clamshell section, and a closing core burnout filled with bicycle crunches, hollow holds, and Pilates 100s.

Venus further explained the importance of activating and awakening these muscles, before putting them to work. “That’s why we’re doing some of these functional exercises — even though they burn! We challenge these muscles and then the muscles will thank us later.”

When will Venus Williams return?
