Venus Williams Gets Emotional Upon Remembering Louis Vuitton’s Late Designer Virgil Abloh

The fashion industry was sent into a shock when Virgil Abloh, the American fashion designer, passed away. He was the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection, beginning in 2018. Virgil lost a two-year battle with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer.
His untimely death at the age of only 41 years was mourned throughout the world. Venus Williams was amongst the many personalities who paid tribute to the late designer. Further, Louis Vuitton named his final show ‘Virgil was here’ to pay homage to the late designer.

Venus Williams pens down a heartful message for Virgil Abloh
The elder Williams sister was seen attending the Louis Vuitton show for Virgil Abloh. Further, she shared a post on her official Instagram handle with the caption, “The Louis Vuitton show for Virgil Abloh was very emotional. Real tears were cried from everyone there. This one hurts. Praying for his family.”

Further, Venus Williams had penned down a heartfelt message for the late designer in the wake of his passing. Venus stated that she was devastated by the passing of Virgil Abloh. Moreover, she said, “I love him so much. I always watched everything he did so closely and it inspired me to be better in everything I do.”

The American’s 2021 season
Lately, the 41-year-old’s career has been hampered by injuries. Moreover, she played only nine tournaments in 2021, the last one being in August at the WTA Chicago Women’s Open. Further, her ranking has constantly been on the downtrend lately as she lies at 347th position on the WTA charts.
