Getting to meet the person you have idolized all your life is truly a dream come true. He grew up watching Venus Williams and Serena Williams perform their best on the court and it was decided. Micah wanted to play like the sisters that shared his last name.

Venus Williams shares a life lesson with a superfan

In a recent unique interview that Venus Williams had with one of her little fans Micah Williams, she was asked about what she did better when she lost. Micah Williams also added to the question that he has never lost a match and wants to know what to do if he does. The 7x Grand Slam winner’s answer? Never be afraid to get back up even when you fail.

Venus Williams answered, “When you lose at some point — and if you play long enough, you will — hopefully what you’ll learn is that you just can’t wait to get back. Hopefully what you’ll learn is how much you love what you do and how much more you want to do it.

Further, she also added that she had a lot of things go wrong for her before she became a champion, so losing is part of winning. This thought process definitely seems to be close to Venus Williams as despite not winning last year, she is ready to try again in the 2024 tournament season.
