Global footwear brand K-Swiss has tied up a lucrative endorsement deal with the veteran American tennis star.

Venus Williams will be brand ambassador of footwear giant K-Swiss

As part of the contract, the seven-time Grand Slam winner will be the brand ambassador and setting the tone for a healthy commercial relationship, Venus has already designed a limited-edition footwear and apparel line for the label.

The capsule collection is part of a collaborative effort between K-Swiss and Venus’ very own apparel line ‘Eleven’.

The collection is something the older Williams sister is very excited about and the company, too, has set its sights on drawing the desired commercial benefits out of the deal. 

The company put the collection out on its web page with a message from Venus, detailing the ideas that went into designing the footwear and apparel line.

“Forge forward with coolness and confidence”: Venus

“This capsule collection is close to my heart as I created each style for women like you. Anything but traditional, the collaboration of K-Swiss and Eleven by Venus Williams is a representation of the authenticity and boldness of both brands – even in times of uncertainty,” the message goes.

“With a twist on the traditional plaid design, this exclusive design will have you ready to forge forward with coolness and confidence,” it further says.

While her brand value is still alive and kicking, Venus hasn’t had much to cheer on the career front lately.

She exited the Australian Open the opening round itself, losing in straight sets to 16-year-old compatriot Coco GauffShe didn’t fare any better in the French Open, also losing in the first round to unheralded Slovakian Anna Karolina Schmeidlova.

Even the familiar surroundings of the Flushing Meadows couldn’t fill her with motivation to give off her best as she went out in the opening round after losing to Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic.
