Venus and Serena Williams reigned over the tennis realm for more than two decades and went on to inspire many incumbent players. Throughout the years, the sisters have always backed each other. Although they have trained together since they were young, the sisters continue to inspire each other.

Venus Williams has never shied away from expressing her admiration for her younger sister. Recently, she took to her Instagram to commend her sister and the lessons she has learned from other players.

Venus about the impact of Serena Williams on her career

Serena Williams took to her Instagram to share the story of her sister Venus talking about the player from whom she has learned the most. Venus Williams frequently holds Q&A sessions on her Instagram with her fans.

When a fan posed her a question about the player she has learned the most, Venus replied, “You know it’s @serenawilliams But I love watching others and learning from all players.” The younger sister with 23 grand slam titles has not only been a role model for every up-and-coming player in the sport, but also for established players like Venus, a seven-time Grand Slam champion herself.

Both legendary players have complemented each other’s growth on the tennis circuit. In a cut-throat competitive sport like tennis, the sisters became each other’s partners as well as competitors.

The sisters’ potential for succeeding in the professional tennis tour was identified early by their father, Richard Williams, who became their first coach. After sharpening their basics on the tennis courts of Compton. Later, the Williams sisters moved onto the expert coaching of Rick Macci. The Hall of Famer coach has also trained other tennis legends like Andy Roddick, Maria Sharapova, and Jennifer Capriati, among many others.
