Venus Williams Sidelines Her Achievements to Call Moments With Olympia as Her Proudest

Venus Williams is counted in the list of the best players in the game. In a career spanning close to three decades, the 41-year-old has reached the heights of the sport that remains untouched by a majority of players. Some of her biggest achievements include winning seven Grand Slam titles, winning one singles and three doubles Olympic golds, and being world no. 1.

However, in spite of such achievements, Venus doesn’t count any of these as her proudest but instead shared a rather personal memory that she would cherish for life.

Venus’ proudest moment so far

Venus is also the co-founder of lifestyle brand EleVen by Venus Williams. The brand focuses on outfits that match one’s on-court as well as off-court needs. Recently, through her brand’s Instagram page, Venus held a ‘Ask me a question‘ session. Taking into consideration the majestic aura she holds, her inbox in no time was filled with questions from her fans.

Answering one of the fan questions on what her proud moment was, Venus surprised fans with a different answer.

“This moment will involve Olympia and all my nieces and nephews. I can’t choose one!”

Venus sidelined her tennis achievements and opted for a family moment. She asserted that her proudest moment would be one of the moments with her niece and nephew. Going by the family tree, Venus has one niece, that is Serena Williams’s daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. and three nephews.

Venus Williams has been out of the for close to nine months now. She last played at the Chicago Open, suffering a first-round defeat. Days later, she announced her withdrawal from the US Open after suffering from a leg injury. Ever since then, Venus has been missing from the court.

Recently, she dropped a slight hint of her possible comeback at the tournament she loves – Wimbledon. However, an official confirmation by Venus or Wimbledon is still awaited.
