The Challengers fever has taken social media by storm. Adding more fuel to this, WTA legend Venus Williams surprised her fans with an interesting photoshoot that hinted at a collaboration with the movie Challengers. Since Venus Williams already showed her thumbs-up to Tashi Duncan, the protagonist of the movie played by renowned actress Zendeya, fans can expect that the WTA legend must be cooking something new. Given that Venus Williams is both a tennis player and a businesswoman, people are excited to know more about her upcoming projects.

The world’s former number-one WTA star recently shared a post on her official Instagram story. In this post, fans spotted Venus Williams posing for her famous plant-based food company but with a twist. Williams posed exactly like Zendaya did for her latest movie Challengers poster donning the same makeup, and accessories. Not only that, but the legendary American tennis player also teased the Hollywood actress on that story, enticing her with a possible collaboration. Venus Williams wrote- “I am here for this! @zendaya what do you think?”

Williams shared her brand Happy Vikings’s latest promotional Instagram post. In this post, the brand shared Venus’s picture with a caption- “Critics say this is the best plant protein they’ve tried in years 🎬🍿 #zendaya #venuswilliams #challengers.” After this post, fans received a hint that probably Venus is planning a collaboration with Luca Guadagnino’s tennis-themed film Challengers. Fans who have limited knowledge about Venus Williams’s business venture should know that the 7-time Grand Slam winner started this brand after she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2011.

Following this diagnosis, Venus Williams shifted to completely plant-based/vegan food items. This journey inspired Williams to start Happy Vikings in 2020. Going beyond the conventional protein powder standard, Williams and her team created a formula that would not just work as a meal replacement but cater to people’s nutritional needs that actually tastes good. This easy-to-mix health drink has become a game-changer for many people.

Nevertheless, Venus Williams really encouraged Zendaya and her team to beautifully present a tennis player’s struggle in the movie Challengers. The American tennis legend not only attended the movie’s LA premiere but also showed her support for the famous actress. On the other hand, Zendaya already spoke about taking inspiration from the Williams sisters for her role Tashi Duncan.

Zendaya revealed how the Williams sisters are her “entry point” to understanding tennis

The actress previously complimented Serena and Venus Williams for helping her create the character of Tashi Duncan on the big screen. In an interview with People Magazine, Zendaya said- “My only understanding of tennis as a kid growing up was them. When I thought of tennis as a kid, they would be that for me. They are my entry point to understanding anything tennis.”

Zendaya also revealed how she researched the famous Williams sisters to learn about the sport. Zendaya said- “They are iconic, and I admire both of them so much, not just for what they’ve accomplished in the sport, but I think beyond: their impact and their significance for so many people, specifically Black women. I don’t want to compare myself in any way in this performance because I am nowhere near the greatness that they possess.”
