As much a style icon in the game as her younger sister, Serena Williams, the limited-edition apparel line is named ‘Eleven by Venus’.

The footwear giant recently sewed up a lucrative endorsement deal with the 40-year-old tennis star, as part of which she was to not only be the brand face but also design her own line of shoes and apparel.

Venus tagged her post with the short message saying, “BTS, @elevenbyvenus x @kswiss collaboration, Perfection”.

The company put the collection out on its webpage with a message from the veteran, detailing the ideas that went into designing the footwear and apparel line.

“This capsule collection is close to my heart as I created each style for women like you. Anything but traditional, the collaboration of K-Swiss and Eleven by Venus Williams is a representation of the authenticity and boldness of both brands – even in times of uncertainty,” the message goes.

“With a twist on the traditional plaid design, this exclusive design will have you ready to forge forward with coolness and confidence,” it further says.

On the career front, the American couldn’t progress beyond the first round of the Australian Open this year. The veteran did show promise in her opening-round mauling of Belgian Kirsten Flipkens at Melbourne Park but struggled with cramps in the latter stages of her second-round clash against Italian Sara Errani.

The former World Number 1 eventually lost 1-6, 0-6.
