The American tennis legends, Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert, were hailed as one of the most dominant players on the WTA tour. After moving away from the court, the two tennis greats have also made their mark as the top commentators and analysts of the game. Apart from that, Navratilova and Evert, with their active online presence, have used their platform to converse with fans.

Notably, the former tennis players have often amused their fans after engaging in various banters on social media. On a recent occasion, Navratilova was involved in a verbal clash with Serbian tennis star, Novak Djokovic’s fans. However, it was her close friend, Evert who stepped in on the matter and convinced Navratilova to end the verbal clash with a slew of fans.

Chris Evert convinced Martina Navratilova to end her feud on social media

Martina Navratilova along with Rennae Stubbs, with their active online presence, were recently involved in a feud with Novak Djokovic’s fans. The former Australian tennis player initially made a sharp comment about Djokovic’s racket-throwing incident. This led to a fierce verbal battle between Stubbs and Djokovic’s fans.

Later on, Navratilova also joined the conversation while taking sides with Stubbs. However, after three days, Chris Evert had to step in and convince her friend to end her feud with the Serbian tennis star’s fans. Navratilova was later convinced after taking note of Evert’s suggestion on social media.

The former Czech–American tennis player stated, “Finally, a voice of reason:), yes Chrissie- you would have handled it much more diplomatically than me, as usual:), Been busy blocking and thus have moved on:),xoxo  PS – next time interject sooner, please!!!

Evert, with a quick response, later replied to Navratilova, “I would have,but honestly, the verbal abuse wasn’t worth it…”

Navratilova’s previous criticism of Djokovic’s comparison

The former Czech–American tennis player’s criticism of Djokovic is a new subject for fans. Notably, Navratilova previously slammed Djokovic when he made a statement. In his statement, the Serbian tennis player talked about his fierce rivalry with Nadal.

However, Navratilova was quite unimpressed with Djokovic’s statement as she further called out at him. In her response, Navratilova mentioned the record of the duo playing the most against each other. The record Djokovic was talking about was actually held between two WTA rivals, Evert and Navratilova. As result, Navratilova reminded Djokovic of the 80 matches that she played against her rival on the court.
