The german tennis player, Angelique Kerber, is currently out of action since she is expecting her first child. However, the former world number one, will not be seen playing tennis on-court. And she has different plans ready, till the time she returns to the tennis court.

The three-time Grand Slam champion, has been out of the professional tour after competing in this year’s Wimbledon. She lost to Elise Mertens of Belgium, in the third round of the tournament. Though, after the tournament, she announced her pregnancy with her first child and therefore didn’t take part in the US Open.

In a recent interview, the former world number one, delighted her fans by talking about her comeback plans and goals for her future. However, these plans may not involve playing tennis. But her fans are definitely excited to see the tennis player grow in the other aspects as well.

Talking about her other plans, Kerber said, “There are various projects that are important for me. One is my autobiography, that is set to be published in November. I’ve invested a lot of time in it and have thought a lot about what I want to let the people in on, which messages I want to give young players starting out in the game. It was a very intensive and very emotional preoccupying myself with my life and my career.” The 34-year-old hopes to guide growing talents into the sport.

Further, while talking about her tennis comeback, she aims to play the 2024 Olympics game in Paris. Kerber wants to experience the special feeling of playing for the country at the grandest stage yet again. The former world number one has participated in two olympics before, in London and Rio de Janeiro, respectively.

The 34-year-old tennis ace was present at the US Open but in the role of a commentator and a sports analyst talking about the game. She was a part of the Eurosport crew and it was a great opportunity for her to be a part of the sport, even if she was not playing.
