Victoria Azarenka has seen massive ups and downs in her tennis career. The Belarusian tennis star made her Grand Slam debut in 2006 at the Australian Open. Subsequently, she strived hard on the big stage before her moment finally arrived in 2012. At the Australian Open that year, Azarenka defeated Maria Sharapova in the summit clash to clinch her maiden Grand Slam title. The following year, she successfully went on to defend her crown. Recently, she had some exciting news for her fans.

Apart from her achievements Down Under, Azarenka has reached the US Open final thrice during her illustrious career. In 2017, she made a comeback to the WTA tour after giving birth to her first child.

The former World Number 1 took to Twitter to announce the release of her new podcast. She said, “I’ve worked really hard these last 8 months to create and drop the second season of my podcast “Think About it” Live now on @Tennischannel and all your favorite podcast networks.”

Azarenka also mentions her Miami meltdown in her podcast

During the Miami Open this year, the Belarusian tennis star stormed off the court midway during her match against 16-year-old Linda Fruhvirtova. Azarenka informed the chair umpire before leaving the court abruptly, shocking one and all with her decision. The 2-time Grand Slam champion later cited that she was stressed and shouldn’t have gone on to the court to play that match.

Azarenka was trailing 2-6, 0-3 when she decided to retire from the match. The former World Number 1 has lifted the lid on this incident in her latest podcast.

Further, in the recently concluded Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati, Azarenka lost in the second round against Emma Raducanu. It was a disappointing loss for her as the British star inflicted a bagel on her. Additionally, Azarenka has dropped four places in the WTA rankings and is currently in the 26th spot. She’ll look to make amends in the next week’s US Open.
