Belarusian tennis star Victoria Azarenka is currently playing against Ukraine’s Dayana Yastremska at the ongoing Australian Open tournament. Azarenka is trying to make her entry to the semifinals by defeating Yastremska at Melbourne Park today. While there had been extreme excitement among fans about the match, people are quite disappointed over the duo’s performance right now.

From Azarenka’s poor service to Yastremska’s faulty strokes, the match between the Russian and the Ukrainian tennis star seemed dull to many tennis fans. While the commentators boasted about the crowd’s applause, the internet completely thinks otherwise. In fact, both Azarenka and Yastremska’s fans are not at all happy seeing their favorite tennis stars lacking the skill for a great Grand Slam quarterfinals.

Recently a trusted tennis source shared on their official X (formerly Twitter) that the match between Victoria Azarenka and Dayana Yastremska is truly not up to the mark. This source wrote- “The level of this match is… not ideal.”

This tweet has garnered a lot of attention from the tennis fraternity. However, the fans unfortunately agree with the source saying that both Azarenka and Yastremka are performing poorly in the match. Following her coach’s guidance, fans expected much more from Victoria Azarenka. It was also because Azarenka really performed well against Osatpenko in her last match. She garnered much attention for coming back to the court with such spirit. However, everyone suffers from bad days, and looks like this match is one such bad day for Azarenka.

On the other side, Yastremska impressed fans by showing her newly found balance in this Grand Slam event. Despite losing to Azarenka in the Guardalaraja Open, Yastremska is still falling short of matching Azarenka’s tune.

The poor display of skills in the quarterfinal match between Azarenka and Yastremska has totally pissed off the audience. Despite positive commentary, the internet is disappointed over these two tennis players’ performance. One fan wrote- “Comms on discovery are saying the crowd appreciates the level of play on display.” Another fan said- “Is this Azarenka/Yastremska or an early 2000s highlight job because #streaky.” Fans found Azarenka’s performance terrible.

Tennis fans expressed their concern and said- “They’re not good today.” In a nutshell, the majority of tennis fans concluded it as “Horrible .. not even challenger-level. Junior tennis delivers better quality than this shit show.”

The ongoing quarterfinal match between Azarenka and Yastremskab brought a lot of disappointment to the fans. However, every athlete has its day. Probably today didn’t work well for either the Russian or the Ukrainian tennis star. However, the final result of their match is yet to be reached.
