Caroline Wozniacki, the Danish tennis professional and the former Wold no.1, said goodbye to the sport in the year 2020. However, she is still in touch with the fans and friends she earned while in the game.

Wozniacki gave tennis some of the best matches and records. Therefore, she is still loved by the entire tennis world, including her on-court rival Serena Williams. Hence, how could tennis miss the birthday of such a special player? On Monday 11 July, which is Wozniacki’s birthday, tennis fans and entities flooded her social media handles with wishes. Though the best tribute came from the Australian Open’s side.

A tribute to Caroline Wozniacki

The Australian Open undoubtedly celebrated their 2018 champions’ birthday in the best way possible. They shared a clip of her executing flawlessly one of the toughest shots inspired by Roger Federer on the hard courts of Australia. And wrote, “How does it feel to hit a tweener for the first time in a match? Just ask Caroline Wozniacki.”

Wozniacki can be seen saying, “I think you can tell my confidence is pretty good. I tried a tweeter today, and it actually went in that’s the first time in the match. I was pretty proud of that.” in the clip.

Caroline Wozniacki and Serena Williams Have Surprising News for Tennis Fans

Further to celebrate the day, the tennis ace went out for dinner with her husband and Mads H. Frederiksen, the founder of boutique sports Agency F Sports Group. She later took on Instagram and wrote, “Happy Birthday Caroline Wozniacki dinner on me next time in Copenhagen.” and appreciated Wozniacki‘s husband’s choice of wine by adding, “David lee always great on the wine.”

The former World no.1s are good friends off the court. However, owing to their busy schedules, they often use social media as a platform for interaction. But about a month ago, they finally got the chance to speak to each other face to face.

Williams, who traveled to Miami alongside her sister Venus Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian to support an old friend in the Miami Grand Prix, found Wozniacki in the stadium.
