Eugenie Bouchard has been amongst the most popular tennis players on the women’s circuit over the last decade. She came onto the big stage through the junior’s circuit. In 2011, she won the girls’ doubles title at Wimbledon. Further, she bettered her feat, as she clinched both the girls’ singles as well as girls’ doubles in the subsequent year.
Riding on the success achieved on the junior circuit, Bouchard finished as runner-up at Wimbledon in 2014. It was just her second attempt in women’s singles at the tournament as she lost to Petra Kvitova in the title clash. Despite her success early on, Bouchard’s career has been a massive struggle. She has failed to perform consistently at the highest level.

The Canadian tennis star is hugely popular on social media. She regularly updates her fans about her training sessions and tournaments. Recently, she had a big surprise for her fans.

Eugenie Bouchard leaves the fans startled
The 28-year-old gave a massive surprise to her fans as she turned delivery girl for Gopuff in her latest Instagram Reel. “Hey everyone, it’s Eugenie Bouchard and I’m about to do some surprise deliveries with Gopuff,” Bouchard said, as she set off to deliver surprises. Further, leaving fans awestruck, she asked a fan to join her to play tennis. It turned out to be an amazing surprise as she left a smile on her fans’ faces.

However, on the tennis front, it has been quite a while since she played competitive tennis. She was last seen in action at Abierto GNP Seguros in Monterrey, Mexico in March 2021. Subsequently, she suffered a horrific injury in her right shoulder which required surgery. As a result, Bouchard missed the remainder of the 2021 season.

Lately, Bouchard is in the final stage of her rehabilitation process and is on the brink of making a comeback. Recently, she even played exhibition sets, one each in women’s singles and mixed doubles at the championseriestennis. However, with her WTA ranking as low as 1246, it is not going to be easy sailing for Bouchard on her comeback.
