Coming to Venus Williams, she already accepted a wild card at the Citi Open and will make her first singles appearance since August last year; her last tournament was in Chicago. Last month, Venus made her WTA comeback in the mixed doubles at the Wimbledon Championships this year.

Now, at the Citi Open, she will make her official singles return and in the opening round, the legendary star will face a qualifier.

Notably, Serena has not entered the Citi Open. So, it was kind of surprising to see Serena practicing with her elder sister on the courts at the Citi Open.

As for Serena, she will make her return after Wimbledon at the Rogers Cup, and then subsequently participate at the Cincinnati Open as well. Unfortunately, this year’s US Open could very well be their final appearance at home as fitness has been a major concern for both the sisters.
