To assume that his natural abilities paved an easy path for him to make a way in the entrepreneurial would be unfair. There were some hard choices the Reddit co-founder made to be what he is today.

In an interview with Forbes, Ohanian broke down the chronology of his career. Talking about Reddit, he stated, “I started the company right out of college, 2005.” Though he returned in 2014, he left Reddit after 6 years. However, this is not what Ohanian was planning to do. He wanted to be a lawyer, but this is what he did. He stated, “I walked the hell out of that LSAT!” Realizing that this was not his calling, he thought, “This is terrible. I don’t want to be here.”

One of the most important decisions of his life was taken while he was sitting in a Waffle House. He reminisced about it and stated, “That was where I decided, “I can’t do this. I quit.” However, starting a company would need people and that is why he went to his roommate to convince him. He stated, “It took like a year to convince him to join me.”

Talking about his present company, he stated, “These days I’m doing my life’s work at Seven Seven Six, which is a technology company that deploys venture capital.” And talking about his love for crypto, he stated, “So, I have always been what I’d like to think is a pragmatic supporter of crypto.”

Apart from that, Ohanian is a huge supporter of the women’s soccer league too. He is the biggest investor of the Angel City FC, an NWSL team founded by American actress, Natalie Portman.

The entrepreneur in Ohanian sees things in a larger frame. Being an entrepreneur himself, he wishes to give others the opportunity to have multiple options for investment.

In a Twitter post, he vouched for venture firms to invest in small amounts instead of big amounts. Apart from Seven Seven Six, Serena Williams has her own venture firm called, Serena Ventures. She has helped multiple businesses grow and aims to reach out to a wider arena of entrepreneurs.
