Sabalenka’s mother has been her pillar of strength ever since the shocking demise of her father in 2019. The 25-year-old Belarusian has already clinched 2 Grand Slam titles in her career. Both of them have come from the same venue. Can she now diversify her dominance in other courts as well and fulfill the demand of her mom?

Aryna Sabalenka’s mom now wants triplets

Last year, Sabalenka admitted that winning the Australian Open title for the first time did wonders for her confidence and she now wants to win more. “When I won… I was super happy. I couldn’t believe it in the beginning. Then, for the next week, I was like ‘Oh, my God, I did it. Yes, it’s happened.’ I was having this conversation in my head that, ‘Wow. It’s so amazing.’ Now I have even more… I want more. ‘Motivation’, that is the word. More motivation to work hard, just to feel it again,” Aryna Sabalenka after winning the 2023 AO.

And, now her mother wants her to win more after clinching her second Grand Slam title a month earlier. Juliya Sabalenka posted a picture of the two Australian Open titles (whom she called Twins) and wrote, “Twins. I want at least triplets!!! And we need to diversify the collection somehow.”

Sabalenka had earlier revealed that she had already started arguing with her mum shortly after creating this historic feat at Melbourne Park this year. She said that she had fights with her mom over where her second trophy would be heading when she got back. Now, finally, it seems like it has found its right place.

Sabalenka missed her family after clinching her second title at the Australian Open

Despite having a disagreement with her mother over the trophies, Sabalenka admitted that not having her family with her in Australia had hit her hard. During the post-match when she was asked if she missed her family, she said, “Yes, I really miss them a lot. Of course, we are in touch, on the phone, but the phone is different than in real life. Yeah, of course, I spoke to my mom and there is already fight where the trophy is going. She’s really p****d right now, by the way (smiling). But yeah, I felt so far from them.

Aryna Sabalenka further went on to add, “I really miss them so much. I’m actually never really speak about them on the winning speeches or — doesn’t matter — on the speeches. But I just wanted to make sure that they know how much they mean to me and that they are my biggest motivation and I’m doing everything for them.
