Several comedians have performed at the Hollywood Bowl, but what happened this year was unimaginable. A person from the audience attacked comedian Dave Chappelle while performing his bit on the stage. Though no one was injured, the vibe of the event got crushed owing to the same. Therefore, to lighten the mood, Chris Rock, who had performed earlier, got back on the stage. He spoke about the attack and mockingly said, “Was that Will Smith?”

Consequences Will Faced for after Venus and Serena Williams’ movie King Richard
Smith bailed on legal actions as Chris Rock decided to let the Oscars abuse slide and press no charges on him. However, the entire social media was flooded with people being irked by Will’s actions, especially for not apologizing to the comedian directly when he had the chance.

Later, the Academy Awards, being the platform to witness the entire incident, banned the actor for a total of ten years. Though many argue that the ban is superficial as he can still be nominated. The Academy awards are yet to give an official response to the backlash related to their decision.
