Serena Williams has booked herself a ticket to the quarter-finals of the Australian Open 2021. Recently, the tennis queen defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the fourth round, effectively ending her win-streak as well.

Williams is now just 3 good matches away from making history and equalizing Margaret Court’s record of 24 Grand Slam titles.

With things starting to look Serena’s way, it seems like her daughter has started her journey of breaking her mother’s to-be-set record already.

Serena Williams recently posted a reel on Instagram featuring Olympia. In the reel, one can see the 3-year-old holding the tennis racket and trying to do some drills with the balls.

“Tennis diaries,” wrote Williams in the caption.

Interestingly, Serena’s coach Patrick Mouratoglou himself was seen coaching Olympia. He was giving her the balls to hit and Olympia was trying to hit it hard by holding the racket using both her little hands.

Even though she was not able to hit the balls, it was certainly a cute moment as it looked like Olympia was swinging the racquet with some real purpose. Serena was ecstatic at the prospect of setting her daughter off on her path already.

Can Serena Williams win the Australian Open 2021?

Serena Williams has managed to reach yet another quarter-final of the Australian Open. She last won a Grand Slam at the Australian Open in 2017. Since then, although she has played 4 Grand Slam Finals, she failed to win any of them.

Serena has played beautifully in the Slam so far and has lost just one set. Recently, she defeated the lioness Aryna Sabalenka, who was on a winning streak since the Linz Open 2020. However, future challenges will be more difficult and challenging for the 39-year-old legend.

Williams will butt heads with the World No.2 Simona Halep in the quarters of the Australian Open 2021. Halep is certainly in some great form and will prove to be a big obstacle between Williams and her 24th Grand Slam title.
