Fans became quite disappointed after Rafael Nadal ended his 2021 tennis season because of a foot injury. The Spaniard last played at the Citi Open 2021, where he injured his foot, and later he withdrew from the National Bank Open 2021.

However, Rafael Nadal is currently healing himself from the injury and is training hard. Fans are really hopeful that the 20-time Grand Slam champion will be back on the court at the Australian Open 2022.

Rafael Nadal receives a special award

Recently, Nadal received the Golden Music award at the LOS40 Music Awards 2021. It was the 16th edition of the LOS40 Music Awards and the event took place at Velodrom Illes Balears in Palma de Mallorca, Spain this year.

Interestingly, renowned Spanish singer Rosalia presented Rafa with the award. It was a special moment for the former World No.1 as he got to add yet another award to his trophy cabinet.

Nadal and his connections with the music industry

Fans who know Rafa are well aware of the fact that he listens to almost all types of music. One can even see him wearing wireless earphones all time as if he is always listening to some kind of music.

Rafa even appeared in one of the music videos of the famous pop star, Shakira, in 2010. The name of the song was ‘Gypsy’ and Shakira thanked him for featuring in one of her songs. Interestingly, the song received some really high praise from the critics as well.

As far as tennis is concerned, Rafael Nadal will not be playing any more professional tennis matches in 2021. Even though he didn’t win a Grand Slam title this year, fans still have huge expectations from him. Will he be able to make a spectacular comeback on the court?
