Serena Williams celebrates with pride as her venture capitalist firm touches milestone

Launched with an initiative to empower startups to change the world through innovative products, the firm has recently announced that they managed to raise a $100 million fund.

It was a huge news for the firm as it can play a crucial role in pushing various startups to strive for maximized efficiency. Celebrating the news, the 23-time Grand Slam champion made a victory walk filled with swag. Serena is currently in Paris attending ‘Off-white’s fall collection.

Later, Serena also tweeted the details of her inaugural fund.

Thrilled to be announcing our inaugural fund! With an angel portfolio with 13 unicorns and 6 exits, launching a fund was the logical next step. We’re excited to continue funding founders that are building a more inclusive tomorrow.”

Right from the start, Serena has been very clear in what kind of startups she wanted to promote and worked towards achieving that goal. She associated with Alison Rapaport Stillman and Abir Liben, who are partners at Serena Ventures.

Serena will most likely play the European clay-court swing on the 2022 WTA tour

On the tennis front, Serena is yet to play a tournament this year on the WTA tour. After pulling out of the Australian Open as she wasn’t fully fit to compete, the legendary American star is planning to make a comeback for the European clay-court season.

Ahead of the red turf, fans could very well see Serena Williams competing in Miami Masters as she would like to have enough match practice before going for the elusive 24th major title at the French Open this year.

While there is no official confirmation from Serena or her team regarding her comeback, she was recently seen practicing on a tennis court and enjoying herself to the maximum.
