Serena Williams has gotten off to a strong start to her 2021 season by beating Daria Gavrilova comfortably. The American veteran has recovered from her injury in admirable style, and she is prepping for her upcoming games by vibing to a song about her! 

Serena is all about determination, and the 39-year-old is continuing to inspire with the intensity that she brings to the court. It isn’t something that she instantly generates upon entering the arena.

It builds up right from her workout and training routines, and here’s a clip that depicts her terrific persona!

Serena Williams works out to a song named after her!

Serena is currently preparing for the Australian Open 2021 by taking part at the Yarra Valley Classic in Melbourne. The 39-year-old champion put up a clinical performance in the first round, and she’s currently getting ready for the second round against Tsvetana Pironkova. 

Serena’s coach Patrick Mouratoglou posted a clip of her workout and now fans know that the 7-time Australian Open champion likes to vibe to songs just like the rest of us!

The 2015 R&/B number is called Serena Williams, and the artist is Derek Pope. While it doesn’t majorly focus on Serena, the song has caught up well with fans and music lovers. Moreover, the 23-time Grand Slam champion likes it, and that is the topic of interest here! 

Serena Williams is quite relaxed upon getting back to the circuit, and one can expect a strong performance from her at the Australian Open 2021.

The current WTA 500 event will serve as a good warm-up, as her last professional outing was at the French Open 2020

Australian Open’s delay, a blessing in disguise for Serena!

Serena’s 2020 campaign ended prematurely due to an Achilles injury at the French Open. She exited the tournament before her second-round match against Tsvetana Pironkova and withdrew from the remainder of the season due to recovery.

The Achilles tendon injury was a nasty one, and there loomed a possibility that Serena could miss the ‘Happy Slam’ as well, due to the extended recovery period.

However, the current scenario has ideally been established for the 39-year-old due in one way or the other.

“So whew, that was an unwanted blessing, but it was much needed for me,” Williams reflected in the Australian Open’s postponement. “I definitely took that time to recover and to just do the best that I can, and now it’s a lot better.

“It was great for me because I needed the time because I couldn’t practice because of my Achilles. I needed every time – I don’t think I would have been here if it was during the regular season,” she further added
