WATCH: Victoria Azarenka’s 3-Year-Old Son Leo Prepares Himself For the Upcoming Clay Court Season

The main draw of the Miami Open 2021 is about to begin soon and fans are really excited about it. There is also some great news for fans, as Victoria Azarenka will be playing in Miami. After suffering from a back injury at the Qatar Open 2021, there were doubts over whether she would be able to play. However, she has recovered in time and is ready to compete again.

2-time Grand Slam winner Victoria Azarenka recently uploaded a really cute video on her Twitter handle. In the video, one can see her 3-year-old son Leo practicing some tennis drills. Interestingly, he is really enjoying the double-hand forehand and is hitting the ball with quite a lot of power.

“Leo has decided to skip this year Miami Open to prepare the best for the upcoming clay season,” tweeted Azarenka.

It appears that along with Vika, her son Leo is also exhilarated about the upcoming clay-court season, with a small net, a small racquet, and a small court. The only thing that isn’t small is Leo’s determination. Maybe the world will see him play professionally on tour someday!

Azarenka hasn’t had a great season so far. She began her 2021 tennis season at the Grampians Trophy 2021 where she suffered an unfortunate injury in the second round of the tournament. She ultimately had to withdraw from the event mid-way.

The Australian Open 2021 was a big shock to Azarenka as she lost to Jessica Pegula in the first round of the tournament. To add to this, the Bulgarian player lost the match in straight sets.

She came back strong at the Qatar Open 2021 and defeated top-seeded Elina Svitolina in the quarters despite having a back injury. However, she couldn’t play the semis because of that and her opponent Garbine Muguruza got a walkover before the match even started.

Azarenka will surely be looking forward to playing some exceptional tennis at the Miami Open 2021. Fans have really high expectations from her and want her to perform amazingly well there. Will Azarenka be able to lift the title in Miami this year?
