This has come with a lot of tenacity and resilience from their end. However, no amount of success has made them leave their core values of being humble and grounded, despite their astounding achievements.
Humble yet strong beginnings of Venus and Serena Williams
Venus and Serena Williams had played a doubles match against Martina Navratilova and her partner in the 2000 Wimbledon Championships. Venus Williams talked about their growing up and the moral values that they have upheld. She said, “I believe that Serena and I are very polite because that’s the way our parents taught us.”

The player felt it was only themselves that sometimes held them back from winning the matches. She said, “When Serena and I lose a match, it’s because we beat ourselves. I’ve been beaten about four times, and there was nothing I could do (but) wave the white flag. But most of the other times I’ve beaten myself through unforced errors.”
The players, however, have worked on that and have now come out as inspirational tennis players. They still are active on the court and have the zeal to push themselves to pursue more.

Martina Navratilova also complimented the players for being so humble. Both the sisters went on to become the world no 1 players and reigned the women’s tennis for years to come. Serena Williams won 23 grand slam titles and Venus seven throughout their respective glorious careers.
