Serena Williams’ ex-boyfriend opened up about dating the tennis legend

Serena dated the actor and musician, Common, for a period of approximately two years before the two ended their relationship formally in 2010. She later fell in love, and married the Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, and started a family. The former couple have maintained their friendship after their breakup.

Commons sat down for an interview with the AM to DM in 2019 and opened up about his unique experience of dating Serena. In the interview, Common gave his reasons for not revealing his relationship with the 23-time Grand Slam champion. He said, “me sharing my relationship story is not going to you know it’s not going to benefit anybody you know so it’s like I don’t exploit.
