

Venus Williams has always been at the top of her game, be it on the court or in the fashion world. She set the tone early in her tennis career when she reached the US Open final in 1997 in her very first attempt. She lost out to the Swiss legend Martina Hingis in the summit clash that year.

Since then, the elder Williams sister has gone on to win seven Grand Slam titles, including five Wimbledon titles and a couple of US Open titles. Moreover, she also has four Olympic gold medals to her credit.

Apart from tennis, Venus is also a successful businesswoman. She is the founder of companies like EleVen by Venus, which is an activewear brand, and V Starr Interiors, an interior design firm. Recently, the former World Number 1 announced a partnership with a leading French company.

Lacoste welcomes Venus Williams to its roster
The 41-year-old joined the French company as its Global Ambassador. The brand took to Twitter to express its pleasure at this partnership. “Welcome to the Team Lacoste, Venus Williams! As one of the greatest athletes in the world, Venus embodies off the court all the ambitions of the new fashion-sport silhouette created by Louise Trotter,” read the post on Lacoste’s official Twitter handle.

Venus was thrilled while announcing her collaboration with Lacoste. She said, “Her clothes really transform you once you put them on. It was like role modeling for me. Working with Louise makes me feel like I want to be better; I want to work harder; I want to dig deeper inside of myself.”

Further, the French brand has added another powerful athlete to its already elite set of partners. The current top two in men’s singles, Daniil Medvedev and Novak Djokovic, are both sponsored by Lacoste. With Venus’ partnership, Lacoste has found a dynamic personality that can inspire the masses.
