Venus Williams said that it is very crucial for a dog to get plenty of exercise and nutritious food. Along with that, the pet parents need to strengthen their bond by spending time together.

To do so, the American tennis legend is partnering with Purina Pro Plan, as reported by ‘People’, for an initiative that will focus to inspire dog owners to exercise with their pets. It will be a two-month challenge that will address the importance of nutritious foods and active quality time for dogs. The 42-year-old tennis legend also talked about her off-court endeavors in an interview with PEOPLE.

While speaking of her collaboration with Purina Pro Plan, Williams also opened up about her own relationship with her furry companion, Harry. As a passionate pet owner, she regards her dog as her pride and joy. Venus has also put Harry on the top of her priority list, as she loves the little guy.

The American tennis icon added, “We’ve been together 16 years, and he’s doing quite great. And one of the reasons why I credit him doing so well is because of his food and what I feed him.”

From going to the gym to strolling the streets of Paris, Williams’ pet has always accompanied her for various day-to-day tasks. Notably, Venus has always shared a special bond with Harry as she regards the furry pet as her top priority. Venus also said that she didn’t plan on getting a dog, but she was in awe of Harry.
