Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has been away from the court for over a year now. The 28 years old last played in March 2021. Notably, she suffered a serious shoulder injury and had to go under the knife. Currently, she is in her rehab period, enjoying her time away from the game.

Even though she is not playing right now, the Canadian has been keenly following the ongoing French Open. As she keeps updating about it on social media. Recently, she shared a picture of yesterday’s blockbuster clash between World Number 1 Novak Djokovic and King of clay Rafael Nadal.
Eugenie Bouchard reacts to Nadal vs Djokovic match
Yesterday in a high voltage encounter, two of the best-ever tennis players of all time, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, came face to face in the quarterfinal of the ongoing French Open. As expected, the clash of titans turned out to be a brilliant match of tennis. The Spaniard won 6-2, 4-6, 6-2, 7-6, 7-6, 7-6 in a marathon 4 hours and 12 minutes long match.
Reacting to the brilliant match, the Canadian tennis star shared a picture from the game on her Instagram story. ‘What a match‘ she wrote in the caption.

Notably, The Spanish tennis legend was not in his best form as he recently struggled with his persistent foot injury. However, the 21 times Grand Slam champion dominated from the first set and finally booked his slot for yet another French Open semifinal.

Bouchard’s return to tennis
The 28 years old is still away from the game and is going through her rehab. She missed the start of the 2022 season, although she played a few practice matches to step up her efforts to make a comeback as soon as possible.

Bouchard also hinted at her return as she shared pictures from her practice session on the tennis court. Although the former world number 5 has not announced anything officially. But she will be eager to make a comeback, as the break has been very long.
