The Real Housewife of Miami actress, in a recent conversation with host Chanel Omari on Chanel in the City, talked about a lot of things, starting from her journey as a Russian model. And also revealed what it’s like to get married to one of the world’s most famous tennis players. And she talked about the difficulties she faced as a same-sex couple living in Florida. In that interview, there was a moment where the Russian model revealed her worst fear about her early married life..
She said, “I’m here with my partner, Martina, and my kids, but what if something happens to me? And I end, in the hospital. If for straight couples that you know they could get married and something happens you know. They call the husband or they call the wife. In our, case that was that would have been a big problem. You know because we could not officialize our relationship, like how crazy now it sounds. But unfortunately even just a few years ago that was the reality.”

However, as the Russian model, the former world number one has always made her point clear that love has no boundaries and no gender. And with growing time, the former tennis player has definitely buried some ill definitions of same-gender love.

The former world number one tennis player and her wife are always open about how they want to remove the taboo surrounding the idea of same-sex marriage. Last year, in an interview with The List, the 50-year-old talked about how she always wanted to show that her family with Martina is just like the other normal families.
