After her farewell match on her home soil, Serena Williams departed the tennis court with a number of accolades under her belt. Now that she is not competing on the WTA Tour, the ‘Queen of the Court’ has still managed to garner a lot of attention, albeit with her off-court endeavors. For the first time since welcoming their second child, the former tennis star and her spouse, Alexis Ohanian, recently went on a date night.

While many applauded the power couple for their dazzling appearances at a special event in Miami, Venus Williams called them out for a different reason. Serena and her husband’s parental duties were called into question as the 7-time singles Grand Slam champion recently labeled them ‘crazy parents’.

Venus Williams issues a cheeky response to Serena Williams’ date night

Alexis Ohanian recently took to Instagram to share an adorable photo of himself and his wife posing at the grand opening celebration of a new Italian restaurant called Casadonna. In addition to a number of WTA superstars like Aryna Sabalenka and Caroline Wozniacki, the power couple also graced the special event in Miami.

In their pictures on social media, the tech entrepreneur was dressed up in black outfits, while his tennis star wife, Serena Williams, was donning elegant yellow attire. Reacting to their stunning appearance at the Casadonna party, Venus Williams dropped a cheeky message on her Instagram story. She jokingly said, “Look at these crazy parents out until 10pm what were they thinking?”

Serena and Alexis, who are now parents of two little daughters, were reminded of their parental duties by the WTA superstar. On his Instagram story, the American entrepreneur was later quick to react to Venus’ comments as he said, “Past midnight event!!!”

Apart from issuing a cheeky response, the American tennis icon also lavished praise on her younger sister’s outfits.

Apart from being one of the tennis greats, Serena has once again proven that she is also known for her sophisticated taste in fashion.  The former tennis ace’s gorgeous yellow dress for the grand party event in Miami has already won the hearts of many fans on social media. Even the fashionista and her elder sister, Venus Williams, also didn’t hold herself back from lauding it on her Instagram story. While calling Serena her “baby sis,” the 7-time singles Grand Slam champion asserted that she was “killing it” at the Casadonna event.
