‘When I Heard Kanye West Rap’- Naomi Osaka’s Boyfriend Credits Kanye West for Introducing Christian Dior in His Life

Born in North Carolina, Cordae is an American rapper. Releasing his first album ‘The Lost Boy’ in 2019, Cordae today is one of the most well knows names in the American music industry. Recently, the 24-year-old pop star took some time off from making music to attend the fashion show of the luxury fashion brand, Christian Dior. Following the event, he opened up about how he got to know about the brand.

How did Cordae come to know about Christian Dior?

Attending the fashion show ‘California Couture’, Cordae opted for a top-to-toe Dior look. He wore a taupe clog, a gray collared jacket, and white slacks. The outfit made him one of the most eye-catching celebs at the show. However, going back in time, Cordae wasn’t aware of the brand till the age of 10.

In a written conversation with American fashion magazine ‘W’, Cordae opened up about his first interaction with the brand. In an email to ‘W’, Cordae credited 44-year-old American rapper Kanye West for making him aware of the brand. Writing the email, Cordae asserted that it was while listening to Kanye West’s 2007 hit, ‘Stronger’ that he came to know about the luxury brand.

He said, “My first interaction with the brand was when I heard Kanye rap the lines, ‘Awesome, the Christian in Christian Dior.”

Cordae is known for his luxurious fashion sense. The singer of several superhits, Cordae makes sure to only wear the best of the brands from around the world. Christian Dior is one of them.

Going further in the email, he also opened up about what he loved about the name of the brand when he first heard it in ‘Stronger.’ He said, “I thought the name sounded dope and luxurious.”
