World No.2 Naomi Osaka has established herself as an ambassador of the sport. Today, she is the face of many successful brands and has become an icon of tennis at just 23 years of age.

About three years ago, renowned car-manufacturing company, Nissan, decided to name one of its car models after Naomi Osaka. The firm launched a brand new edition of its GT-R model and named it as Nissan GT-R Naomi Osaka Edition in 2018.

Even though the model is three years old, it has got tremendous power. Thus, in order to re-launch the GT-R model, the company  announced that the name of the edition after the 4-time Grand Slam champion.

Osaka became the brand ambassador of Nissan soon after she won the US Open 2018 title. It was her maiden Grand Slam title and she also became the first Japanese player to win the US Open title.

As far as the exterior updates are concerned, the new model included a LED brake light on a dry carbon rear spoiler. In addition, the car also has a golden model number plate.

The interior is the thing that attracted the buyers for sure. The color combination steals the show as it has shades of Ivory and Urban Black Leather. Also, the standard layout has been upgraded. Interestingly, Osaka herself played a part in deciding the color schemes in the special edition.

Apart from these, the new model has a front-mounted twin-turbo 3.8-litre V-6 power plant making 565 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 467 pound-feet of torque 3,300 rpm. The 20-inch forged alloy wheels give the perfect finishing to car.

Nissan has already sold several GT-Rs of the Naomi Osaka edition. Fans believe that the company might even launch yet another model after the Japanese star soon.
