Venus Williams and Serena Williams have always been at each other’s side. The two learned tennis together and turned professional at the same time. They became each other’s support system as they encountered various difficulties on the tennis scene. Even after they became seasoned professionals, the two would help each other out, and a sly attempt from Serena was captured by the camera.

Both Serena and Venus have great banter, as one can see during their interactions on social media. The two tennis stars have found a way to have fun while keeping their fans engaged on their social media pages.

Serena Williams’ attempt to help Venus Williams caught on camera

During the 2015 Australian Open, both Venus Williams and Serena Williams were at the top of the WTA. They fought against any challenge and emerged victorious most of the time. Both had each other’s backs but didn’t always do what they suggested. One instance was seen in a match of Queen V. She faced Agnieszka Radwańska and found herself on the losing end in the second set.

Venus served for the fifth game, and the score was 40-30. Radwanska returned a forehand in the service box, and Venus rushed to hit a forehand across the court. Her shot was called out but seemed uncertain. The umpire declared it to be pretty close, and Venus postulated taking a challenge but went on to serve for the next point.

From another perspective, fans could see Serena telling her she should take a challenge, but her elder sister didn’t. Exasperated, Serena rolled her eyes, which drew laughter from the crowd.

The entire drama began when the 23-time grand slam champion made a video showing how most of the things in Venus’ gyms were stolen from her house. Her video went viral and thus began a drama that would rival soap operas. Venus would go on to reply by saying that her elder sister was “Permanently disinvited from my home”. 

The banter between the two went on for a few weeks, and it was eventually concluded with the two brokering peace. As this banter comes to an end, we are sure to see another goofy battle of the two sisters soon.
