Despite the family’s passion for tennis, Amanda felt the urge to explore other interests.

“It was too much in the family, I just wanted out,”  she mentioned in an interview. Amanda’s older sister, Maria, pursued a tennis career, but her journey influenced Amanda in unexpected ways. While shadowing Maria during her media obligations, Amanda discovered her fascination with film and television production. “I’m really interested in film and TV and going into the production side of that,” she shares. “I think the Netflix stuff has inspired me.”

Amanda, who is frequently spotted in the box during her sister’s matches, said, “I never in a tournament talk about the result, or the tennis, or what time is your practice. I’m more like what are we going to eat, or this is what’s happening in my life, try and get her mind away from tennis because that would reduce some pressure.”
