Danielle Collins has an ace up her sleeve—a special four-legged member of her family. While she focuses on her tennis career, her adorable dog, Quincy, is becoming a star in his own right. The “spoiled gentleman,” as Collins calls him, Quincy is more than just a pet; he’s a beloved companion of Danimal who often steals the spotlight.

Quincy, Danielle Collins’ dog, has captured her heart, and she exhibits it in every part of her life. Quincy is her constant companion, bringing her comfort and happiness whether she’s traveling for competitions or unwinding at home. The American star frequently posts touching pictures of herself and Quincy on social media, showcasing their close relationship.

In a recent conversation with Jimmy Connors and his son on the Advantages Connors podcast, Danimal opened up about her affection for her dog. She said, “I love getting people together. I love spending time with my dog. Quincy Mr. Q. Oh boy. A lot of people. Yeah, a lot of people. No Mr. Q. Because of his debut at the Miami Open as the MVP And um and Charleston.”

Further, she added, “He kind of stole the show on camera. After I won the tournament, love spending time with him, he gets home-cooked meals. I make him salmon, sweet potatoes, chicken peas, all sorts of things, he is a very spoiled gentleman.”

In addition to affectionately dubbing him her “spoiled gentleman,” Danielle Collins took her love for Quincy a step further earlier this year. After a triumphant victory in her hometown of Miami, Collins celebrated not just her own success but also Quincy’s role in it. She shared a heartwarming video on social media, playfully declaring Quincy the MVP of the tournament.

Collins stated, “Just wanted to do a very quick PSA! This year’s Miami Open MVP goes to my very handsome, very sophisticated, smart, loving, charismatic, ball of energy, my favorite son… Mister Q! Quincy, I don’t know what I would do without you. I love you sir!!”

On the flip side, Quincy’s deep connection with Danielle Collins comes with its own set of challenges. Despite his presence at tournaments, Quincy struggles with anxiety and can’t bear to watch Danimal’s matches.

Danielle Collins’ dog cannot watch her play

Collins disclosed during the Miami Open that her dog Quincy faces anxiety and is unable to watch her matches, even when he is present at the venue. She shared, “I’m sure some of you have probably seen him running around here at some point. But he doesn’t come on match days because he’s my Velcro dog and doesn’t like leaving my side. He has a lot of anxiety, even if he’s sitting there and I’m here; he doesn’t want the distance.”

This vulnerability underscores their deep bond, showing how closely Quincy is connected to every move of Collins. The American star has made a rare and heartwarming exception by bringing her dog, Quincy, onto the courts during professional events. Their appearance together at the Charleston Open was a notable moment, as it’s uncommon for tennis players to have their pets accompany them, even for celebrations.

But, Collins brought Quincy along, being the proper dog mom that she is. What are your thoughts on their special bonding? Let us know in the comments below.
