Alexis Ohanian, one of the most renowned businessmen and husband of the tennis legend Serena Williams is an avid sports lover; With high stakes in multiple businesses related to sports. Notably, Ohanian has recently invested in the Angel City Football Club.

The journey of the team started back in 2020. Within two years, the team is now ready to compete in league tournaments. The team is currently participating in the NWSL challenge cup. Recently, they won their first-ever encounter against the San Diego Wave. Elated with the win, Ohanian took to his Twitter account to thank the fans.

After winning the first encounter against the San Diego Wave, Alexis Ohanian was very happy with the support Angel City FC has received. Notably, both teams played their first game just five months ago.

Taking to his Twitter account, Ohanian dedicated a post to the fans of the football club

“I love our fans. I also love all the people who said this could never happen (let alone multiple times already in our first season). But I especially love our fans. @weareangelcity Thank you. We’re just getting started,” he wrote.

The Angel City FC is the first professional women’s soccer team since the 2010’s Los Angeles Sol. Along with Ohanian, Serena Williams also holds stakes in the team.

Serena Williams made a much-awaited comeback in the Wimbledon Championships 2022. However, it did not go well for the 23-time Grand Slam champion. In a competitive match, she lost to Harmony Tan of France. Although it was a disappointment, the American did treat herself to a day out with her daughter.

Serena, along with her daughter Olympia, was seen enjoying afternoon tea. In an Instagram post shared by the 40-year-old.
