Krejcikova made the Czech Republic and herself proud as she won the 2024 Wimbledon. Post-victory, she had an amazing encounter with musician and singer Pink, who attended the match in support of the Czech player. The official X page of Wimbledon shared a clip of Pink enthusiastically rushing to meet Krejcikova and hugging her in praise.

Hi Champ! Oh my god, what a match. Why are you not lying down. Have you ice bathed?” said Pink in amusement after watching Krejcikova win her second slam. In her response, Krejcikova maintained a humble tone and said, “Oh my god. Did you like it? Thank you.”

Pink also complimented Krejcikova’s whole team, saying, “I am so proud of all of you. That was so stressful.” After hearing Pink’s enthusiastic cheer for her, the Czech player invited the singer to her box for her next match. Pink replied, “Listen don’t threaten me with a good time.” Calling herself the “oldest slowest pro in history,” Pink expressed her admiration for Krejcikova as they posed together for a photo waving at the camera, and the singer called the Czech player her “tennis coach.”

The entire moment was enjoyed even more by Krejcikova fans who waited to watch her lift another slam since her last Roland Garros victory in 2021. Krejcikova, who fulfilled her followers’ wishes, was intensely happy on coming out with flying colors on the British grass.

Three years after winning her first Grand Slam title, Krejcikova shared utmost delight in lifting another Grand Slam trophy, which was also in Wimbledon. “Winning any Slam is great, winning here at Wimbledon is huge for me.” Revealing how Wimbledon’s dream came much later in her life, Krejcikova spoke about her late mentor and former Czech tennis legend Jana Novotna, who made her dream about the grass slam.

To be honest, maybe things shifted a little bit when I met Jana and she was telling me all the stories about Wimbledon, about the grass, how difficult it was for her to win the title and how emotional she was when she made it. I think since then I started to see Wimbledon as the biggest tournament in the world,” she said.

Barbora Krejcikova made personal history by winning the slam. Before the event, she not only suffered a back injury that kept her off the court for months, but another flu impacted her performance, resulting in losing matches in the four tournaments she played this season. Despite that, Krejcikova returned with a bang and showed that she was the ultimate boss of this Grand Slam.
