Karolina, on the other hand, was no less than her fellow finalist. Against young blood, Aryna Sabalenka, who kept attacking relentlessly, Karolina kept her composure. Losing the first set, she came back from behind, winning the game 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

The All-important Women’s singles final will take place on the 10th of July. However, the starting time of the match is yet to be decided. The weather so far this week has been pleasant and players will hope it stays like that.

28-year-old Karolina is expected to have the edge over her younger counterpart. Having already stood on the podium as a World No. 1, she will be aware of the pressure Barty carries. Certainly, she will look to dominate her opponent and double her pressure straight away.
