Indian Wells and Miami Open Champion Iga Swiatek is having some leisure time and she stayed back in Florida. Iga utilized her time on the Southern coast to visit the American Airlines Center to watch the NBA team Miami Heat’s home match.
She clicked a photo with Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler, and even got herself a Jersey, resembling her current world ranking.

The tennis Star received warm welcome from the crowd. NBA star Jimmy Butler specially came before the start of the game and met Iga as they shared sporty moments together. Heat’s twitter handle also shared photo of two big guns of the respective sports together.

Iga Swiatek enjoying her tennis at the moment
New World No. 1 Iga Swiatek is certainly enjoying her game. She won three WTA tour titles in a row this year. After a successful Australian Open campaign, Iga faced a shocking exit at the hands of unseeded Jelena Ostapenko in Dubai.
However, she quickly took control of things and is unbeaten since 21st Feb. She won Qatar Open, Indian Wells, and Miami Open in a row, with some powerful and emphatic plays. With this, Iga became the first player to win all three WTA 1000 tournaments. In her 17-match win streak, she dropped just four sets, highlighting her dominance over opponents.

Huge game improvements and rise in ranking
The 20-year-old Polish player won her first Grand Slam at the 2020 French Open. Swiatek constantly worked hard on her game and has become a dominant force on hard courts. She is currently 26-3 from the 2022 season on the surface.

With two Grand Slams being played on the hardcourts, Iga’s surge is certainly a worrying sign for her opponents.
On her new and improved version, former player Fabrice Santoro said, “In my opinion Swiatek is the only player today capable of winning a match by attacking or defending. In general it is she who puts the pressure on her opponents, who attacks.”

Also, Iga ended the 2021 season finishing in the top-10 for the first time in her career. But. the quick rise to the top spot was unexpected by many. The Polish star is showing no signs of tiredness and is clearly the favorite to dominate the European clay-court season this year.
