There is no doubt that Coco Gauff has always strived to pave her own path to the tennis circuit’s top echelons. But just like every other player, the American tennis prodigy also had the guidance and mentorship of her coaches along the way to success. Even at the doubles event, the 19-year-old player was a dominating figure as she became the World No. 1 in the women’s circuit. However, despite having a remarkable season with the 48-year-old coach, Gauff recently made a controversial decision to part ways with Moyano due to some personal reasons.
Now, the tennis prodigy is on the hunt for her new coaching staff as she has taken up the role of an employer in addition to being a pro athlete. During the pre-tournament press conference in Rome, Gauff stated that she is finding the hiring process quite challenging.
She said, “It’s a different process. I don’t know if I like it or not. It’s something you have to do. I just hope who the next person is, I get to keep them for a while because I don’t like interviewing people. It’s so awkward.”

Who coached Gauff in the previous seasons?
Prior to the Argentine tennis coach, the WTA player’s coaching team included her father Corey Gauff, and the former French tennis player, Jean-Christophe Faurel. Under their guidance and mentorship, Gauff outclassed some of the best players including the American tennis legend, Venus Williams.
They assisted the American tennis star in her ascent to prominence in the women’s circuit.
