Coco Gauff in 2022
Cori ‘Coco’ Gauff started her 2022 season at the WTA 500 Adelaide International 1. She won the first round with ease but failed to stand against World No. 1, suffering a second-round loss to Ashleigh Barty. Looking for a better result, she entered WTA 250 Adelaide International 2. A visible rise in the performance helped Gauff go smoothly till the quarterfinal. However, her run came to a halt in the semifinal. Even though the 17-year-old gave tough competition, she was defeated by fellow American Madison Keys in three sets.
